As for the sentier du Bois de la Touche, you'll discover one of the region's most beautiful maritime pine forests, where the shade of the trees provides pleasant coolness in summer.
For an immersion in the marshes, head for the Parcours du Marais Salé, a 5km walk between reeds and ponds, where it's not uncommon to spot herons and egrets.

Cycle paths: a paradise for two-wheelers
With over 350km of cycle paths, Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez and the surrounding area is a veritable playground for cycling enthusiasts. The most emblematic route is undoubtedly the Vélodyssée, which runs along the coast and offers breathtaking scenery between dunes and ocean.
For a more natural ride, take the piste cyclable des marais, which will take you all the way to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie through a unique landscape where bodies of water mingle with little fishermen's huts.
For families, there's an accessible route along the edge of the Saint-Jean-de-Monts national forest, where you can cycle in the shade of the pine trees on a safe, perfectly laid-out route.
Practical information:Classic and electric bike hire is available in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez and close to the campsite. Remember to take a water bottle and something to picnic to make the most of the breaks in the great outdoors.
