
An escape to the island of Yeu, jewel of the Atlantic
Around thirty kilometres offshore, the Île d'Yeu is a must-see destination for a day out in the great outdoors. Accessible via the legendary Passage du Gois, a submersible road that can be discovered at low tide, or via the bridge linking La Barre-de-Monts, Noirmoutier is another must-see destination close to Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez. The island captivates visitors with its natural charm and peaceful atmosphere. Among its treasures are Plage des Dames, with its emblematic white cabins, and Plage de l'Anse Rouge, ideal for a swim in a picturesque setting.
Nature lovers can explore the salt marshes, where you can watch the sauniers harvesting the salt, or visit the Müllembourg nature reserve for a walk among the dunes and migratory birds.
